Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF) was founded in 1883 to help Disciples congregations and mission stations secure land and construct new buildings. Together with our investors and partners, we offer mission-driven capital planning and funding services to ministries across the Disciples family. Money invested by Disciples through DCEF helps to fund low-cost loans to congregations with an emphasis on “ministry first.”
We know that no church should be alone with or in their building, which is why DCEF is here to partner with your congregation throughout the lifecycle of your Holy Place.
Our team has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in areas of loans, investments, capital fundraising, building evaluations and planning, relocation support, disaster response, and church operations. DCEF staff is committed to providing superior customer service with excellence, integrity, genuine partnership and Christian servanthood.
As a nonprofit corporation, DCEF has no shareholders or members. Our affairs are governed by our Board of Directors. Our Directors come from various geographic regions and backgrounds including the clergy, business, industry, teaching, legal or other professions whose experience and expertise is believed valuable for the mission.
Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF) offers building and capital planning services and fundraising consultations, and provides loans for qualifying capital projects.
Through the partnership and support of many Disciples, much is possible! Our Annual Report and Audited Financials tell more of the story.
Disciples Church Extension Fund inspires and empowers congregations to create Holy Places where people connect with God, each other and the community.
“Disciples Church Extension Fund was very thorough with the evaluation of our church and potential building improvements and needs in the future. The evaluation report was quite extensive and included details we hadn’t thought of in the past. The expense was quite reasonable and very much worth the investment. This was one of the best steps we’ve taken in looking ahead to our church’s future and maintaining a quality facility for our congregation.”
