Indianapolis, December 10, 2012 – Disciples Church Extension Fund, a ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, announces staff and director appointments:
• Rosario Ibarra has been named building and capital services advisor for Disciples Church Extension Fund. In this role, Ibarra provides congregations with culturally relevant strategic planning, building planning, capital fundraising, loan and investment services. Ibarra’s responsibilities also include monitoring congregational loan performance from origination and negotiation to underwriting.
“We are thrilled that Rosario Ibarra has accepted her call to join Disciples Church Extension Fund,” says President Rick Reisinger. “Her past experience as an advisor to congregations, a financial loan officer and minister will further complement our ministries and help us develop stronger partnerships with our constituents.“
Ibarra has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Ricardo Palma University in Peru and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif. She is originally from Peru.
• Dennis Williams has been elected to the Disciples Church Extension Fund board of directors. Williams is the regional minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Arizona.
• Mary S. Beight was recently named Disciples Church Extension Fund’s vice president for Loan Services. She previously served the ministry as the corporate secretary and assistant treasurer.
Disciples Church Extension Fund was founded in 1883 to help Disciples congregations and mission stations secure land and construct new buildings. Together with our investors and partners, we offer mission-driven capital planning and funding services to ministries across the Disciples family. Money invested by Disciples through Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF) helps to fund low-cost loans to congregations with an emphasis on “ministry first.”
We know that no church should be alone with or in their building, which is why DCEF is here to partner with your congregation throughout the lifecycle of your Holy Place.
