A veteran employee who began four decades ago as an investment clerk has been selected to serve as Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF) Vice President for Investments.
Rhonda Hopewell will transition to the new position on the Finance Team Dec. 1, coming “full circle” to the department where she first began in 1980.
“We are fortunate to have Rhonda’s leadership at DCEF,” said Belinda R. King, DCEF President and CEO. “Her experience in finance was clear when two people in the financial department underwent a major transition in 2021-2022. Rhonda stepped up and kept things on track, even while she kept up with work in her position as Vice President for Operations.”
Rhonda, a paralegal, holds the Series 63 License and brings considerable experience to the role, having served in a backup position for investments for several years.
Over the course of her employment, Rhonda has served in the Loan Department, on the Advisor Team, in Accounting and Financial Services. She will continue serving in operations until the transition is complete.
