Through all the struggles of the stalled building project and the subsequent rebirthing of the church under the dynamic leadership of Zedric Clayton, the Women’s Ministry of Real Faith Christian Church has continued to be a beacon of hope to the women of the congregation and those in the surrounding community.

In a neighborhood that is 55.1% female and predominately African-American, older, lower-income singles and single parents, the Real Faith Women’s Ministry has stepped up to the challenge.

They sponsor an annual Women’s Ministry Conference, sharing information on topics like breast cancer awareness and domestic violence prevention. They hold monthly meetings, inviting the women and young girls in the community to engage in conversations about personal things, like health and relationships. There is also a monthly book club that focuses on women in the Bible.

Women in local nursing homes and shelters have been gifted with personal hygiene bags put together by the women of Real Faith, and also have gained the opportunity for visiting and prayer.

And now with the new facility, which was completed by Disciples partners in a labor of love, the Women’s Ministry has adequate space and facilities to expand their programming for the women of the community.

A new commercial kitchen provides the opportunity for more meals for the homeless. Larger meeting space means the Women’s Conference, the monthly meetings, and book club can be expanded to serve even more women.

The women of Real Faith Christian Church are determined to play a role in making a difference in the lives of the people in their community.

The Good News of empowerment and opportunity is alive in Clarksdale, MS thanks to the women’s ministries of Real Faith Christian Church!
