Erick D. (Rick) Reisinger, president of Disciples Church Extension Fund, was honored recently by the Insurance Board for his nine years of service to the organization as a director. Rick was cited for his leadership during his three terms on the board of directors, especially for his role as chair of the audit committee. He also served on the finance and risk committees, and as treasurer.
The Insurance Board administers a property and liability insurance program serving churches and related entities within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, United Church of Christ, and Presbyterian Church (USA). Disciples Church Extension Fund helps congregations become faithful stewards of their building and capital resources through loan, investment, capital fundraising, building planning services and expertise, and more. As fellow financial ministries and long-time strategic funding partners, Disciples Church Extension Fund has collaborated with the Insurance Board to help ensure the Insurance Board’s operational viability and currently extends one of their lines of credit.
Hal Watkins, president emeritus of Disciples Church Extension Fund, is a past director of the Insurance Board.

A board with 21 directors governs Insurance Board. The Board is comprised of United Church of Christ Conference Ministers, Disciples of Christ Regional Ministers, Presbyterian Church (USA), Alliance of Baptists executives, and lay leaders with experience relevant to our mission. They are a Recognized Ministry Partner of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
