INDIANAPOLIS — Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF) has appointed Rev. Dr. Courtney Stange-Tregear as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 2, 2026.
Stange-Tregear brings more than 20 years of ministry and financial leadership experience to the role. She most recently served as Vice President and Chief Relationship Officer at Cornerstone Fund for the United Church of Christ (UCC). During her tenure, she strengthened investment performance, expanded organizational reach, and deepened relationships with congregations and ministry partners.
“Courtney brings a rare combination of theological depth, financial expertise, and relational leadership,” said Marian Hamlett, Chair of the DCEF Board. “Her passion and strategic insight for advancing ministry will bring a fresh perspective and build on DCEF’s strong foundation.”
As President and CEO, Stange‑Tregear will align DCEF’s strategy, internal systems, and organizational culture to better serve the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and its ecumenical partners.

Stange-Tregear has also served as the Minister for Church Vitality in the UCC Pacific Northwest Conference, a UCC Conference Minister, and a Cornerstone Fund Board Member. In her roles, she has become a sought‑after public speaker, known for her ability to inspire and articulate a compelling vision for faithful innovation.
A committed lifelong learner, Stange‑Tregear holds a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s College in Philosophy and History of Mathematics, a master’s degree from the University of Leeds in Philosophy and Religion, a Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School, and a Doctor of Ministry from Bexley Seabury Seminary.
