Disciples Church Extension Fund

Oakland, CA: September 18, 2014

The Annual Fundraising Celebration hosted by Christian Church Homes (CCH) was a smashing success as internationally renowned actress and humanitarian, Ms. Rita Moreno addressed hundreds of distinguished attendees on Saturday, September 13, 2014, in Oakland.

During the evening, key supporters were recognized for their contribution to the CCH mission. Disciples Church Extension Fund received the Partner Award while the Community Award was given to Enterprise Community Partners. CCH also honored its resident centenarians.

CCH Vice President of Philanthropy and Mission Implementation, John Rodenberg states,

“It was truly heart-warming and inspiring to see the genuine love and pledged support for affordable housing. We are very grateful to Ms. Moreno, our sponsors, donors, and volunteers who came out to help us raise the visibility of this important issue. The overwhelming support of the event that night will help us continue the mission to provide More Than A Home.”

CCH celebrated its 53-year commitment to seniors of limited means and highlighted progress made to increase the quantity of affordable housing in the Bay Area and across the country.

Established in 1961, Christian Church Homes is a non-profit organization that has been building and managing affordable housing communities where seniors can live and thrive in the comfort of their own home.
